Weirdly enough, today I had the pleasure of meeting up with XVS 108X, a
white/blue RD250LC that I owned in 1984/85. I sold it in Bedford and
saw it again on the Harrow Road in London this morning, being ridden by
a courier. It looked fucked, but the engine sounded really sweet.

17 and 5 days for the bike, 17 and 7 days for the car.

My daughter did her bike test at 17 and 3 days, and her car test 3 days
    later.

Not when they come off the hand-brake, roll down the hill, up the drive
and through your garage door they don't.

Well it was the neighbour's car and it got me a nice new garage door.

I had a Talbot Horizon and considering it was £300 from an auction and
I sold it for the same price 2 years later it was a good little car. I
can't remember any problems occurring and as a hack it was one of my
    better buys.

  10. Futher to my earlier post about Scousers not stopping on red - saw a
cracking crash today (in the rear view mirror) while going through a
crossroads (not sure of road name but its the section of West Derby
road that goes through New Islington)...

Car jumping red light, gets smacked on the rear wing by car that did
not notice a car crossing it at high speed. Yet another prat ignoring
red lights. 'Tis the standard thing in Liverpool, unfortunately.

    Bad man.

I've just seen a Very Naughty Boy in a Plod car. Me and Mrs WUN were on
the way home from the curry house <burp> when we stopped at some lights
alongside of Hertfordshire's finest. The filter left light came on, we
went left then the plod car put his blues on and turned right, through a
    red.

As soon as he'd cleared the red, the lights went off and he bimbled off
    to the donut shop.

    Bad man.

Wish I'd got a set of blues.

I saw plod with all four wheels locked and going sideways onto a
roundabout in Chelmsford this afternoon. He learnt, blues and twos
don't always mean people are going to give way. As close as it gets to
a great deal of form filling he was and no mistake.

    Ho yuss.

Look at it this way: Your quest for understanding of your happiness has
not "failed". It has experienced "deferred success".
