Tips for selling a bike

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Kathy Vickers, Oct 9, 2003.

  1. OK - I'm bowing to the pressures of family life and buying a sensible car
(you would not believe how sensible it may turn out to be).

As a result, as some may know, I'm selling the hornet.

Apart from advertising it on the net (bike.point), the trading post before
we moved (had 1 hit from a guy who knew nothing about it), and it's going in
motorcycle trader in Nov, what other tips do people have?

When I start working again I'll be riding it with a little sign on it
    advertising it.

I don't really want to put it on consignment or trade it in as I'll lose
about $1500-$2000 on what I can get privately.

    Thanks for your help
