    And passes it on ...

Agreed to give him a tug to get his 'new' Honda from York to London (I Live
in Doncaster). Next day Landrover exhaust fell off, hey ho, got a new one
and fitted OK. On Saturday I drove Timo from Doncaster to York, returned
his bike to London, drove home, all fine.

Landrover won't start this am. I thought no worries, it's been cold and
snowed, so I'll charge the battery and all will be well. Battery won't take
a charge, indeed the _complete_ system is dead, with no lights whatsoever,
which seems a tad odd, and a little disconcerting. All connections look
fine, everything looks fine, just no electrickery, so took battery out to
have a looksee .. No fluid, indeed there's a large crack in the case which
it''s all flowed out of ... :( God knows what it'll do to the paint work
    .....

Ah well .... I maybe needed a new one anyway ..

Timo, that was the first, and last, time I help out, OK .. ;)

Heheheh, Did you start the SL? Does it run OK, or at all?

'course, you could give me the Husky 'cos I'm now bloody skint after buying
a new exhaust and battery ..

    ;)

    Oh no, not again...
    Arse. Sorry.
    *Sigh*. ;)
No, I just kicked it over a couple of times, marvelled at the chugga chugga
noises it made, found a gaping hole where you'd expect the battery and
figured that this may have something to do with its reluctance to start.

Figured I'll wait until the big parcel from Mr Silver turns up and try
again, armed with both a manual and a battery.
Give then price of the bits in said parcel I may have to raise the reserve
    on the Husky...

the cont known as Paul - xxx says...
The exact same happened to my Golf after Timo was a passenger. Turned
out to be a leccy problem too.

Clearly not mechanical, so it wasn't my fault, guv.

Paul - xxx was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Especially since all the other alternative routes of investigation
would include removing bits of the bike which I'd rather not do at the
    moment.
    :)

I actually got an email from someone asking if I would break it...

  9. Timo!
I'm having second thoughts about doing those head bearings.

That sounds scarily close to addressing a man on the wrong end of a
Luger, while you're wearing a black leather trenchcoat, Timo.

    Well done ;-)
