Can't be Stritchy because for one, Blanet doesn't know him and two, he
    ain't a ****. He'll be upset about that ;-)

Vince. The two people being spoken of, who **** off for ages on other
    people's bikes.

    And are utter cunts.

As I was typing that I had an inkling that you had. However, as I'm
sure you will agree, 'meeting' is a long way away from 'knowing' - irl
    or here.

I look forward to it. If you're planning it over the next couple of
weekends then I'm off work this Fri-Sun (cancelled TOG Tour) in Derby
    17th & 18th for EoSM, but off work 24th & 25th, and also off work 28th
    Sep - 3rd Oct.

Shouldn't that mean you get a discount for being a fat bastard?

Excuse me, I'm off to score some pies...

There was what looked like a very clean one in MCN last week... was in the
    £1750 area, price wise.

Not that seems to bother some, around these parts...

Or at least, that's how it seemed to me at obvious times in the past.

The loud can seems to be attracting a glance when I've been round town on
it, with the bike itself then holding their gaze.

If I can't get a removable baffle for said can to quieten it down a bit,
then it's going to have to go.
I'm reserving full judgement, for when it has the new boots fitted and
    scrubbed in next week.

Checking the tyre pressures earlier, revealed one of the reasons it didn't
feel as twitchy as I'd been expecting yesterday. ;-)

To summarise so far, it's nowhere near as easy to just jump on and ride
hard, as I was expecting. Unlike nigh on everything else I've had to date
with the exception of my GSXR750L (which I never quite managed to feel at
home on), I'm finding I can't nail this round corners with as much ease as I
could on stuff like the Fazer - as things stand, on some nice twisties, I'd
be much faster at present, if back on the Fazer.

In other words... this bike, is going to take some learning, and unlike most
of the other fodder I've had, I'm finding I'm very wary of it - this... is a
good thing, as a lack of respect for most of my other bikes has, IMHO, led
to me pushing a bit too hard on them for my own good at times.

Once the tyres are sorted and scrubbed in, I'm going to get the standard
settings for the suspension, and dial those in if they're not already set to
that - it feels a bit too stiff on the front at present for my liking, which
is making it get unsettled more than you'd like, on bumpy sections of road.

I love it, even though my back and wrists are now whinging in unison with my
already tired and weary of bikes, knee and arse cheeks. :-D

Odd. My GSX-R750L was about the only bike I've ever jumped on and felt
like I'd owned it for several years. I was quick on it within 10 minutes
of buying it, and yet with every other bike it usually takes me at least
a couple of hundred miles before I feel at ease. I seriously loved that
bike and I curse the ex-witch for making me sell it.

I've known Stritchy for getting on for 25 years. He's one of the best,
you just can't fault the guy in any way shape or form.
