    Ha! I managed to make it all of the way at a steady 40, without slowing
    down for anything.

    I've sent them an e-mail about their game ...

    "I just wanted to drop you a line to commend you on the superb driving game
    on your web-site. It perfectly demonstrates how important speed limits are
    for people who can only see four car lengths in front of them and whose cars
    have defective brakes.

    It's amusing to see that you didn't even have enough courage in your own
    convictions to design a game that was at all realistic. Were you scared
    that a more realistic game might not support your view-point?"

  2. In uk.rec.motorcycles, AndrewR amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
    A question for Newsnight if there ever was one. It will be interesting
    to see their reply.

    I think I'm going to write to them, too. I'd like to know why it is that
    if I drive at less than the speed limit, cars still come at me on my
    side of the road. I'd have thought that driving within the limit would
    make things fine and dandy for all concerned.
