We're going tomorrow. It's a brown Z750 Twin with a strange ally rack. If
you see us, it'd be nice to say hello.

Petal and I saw a very nice conditioned one at a bike meet in
Northamptonshire on Wednesday evening. Why is it you only see the mucky
brown coloured ones? They did make them in other colours.

Yes, it was fairly busy. I met up with a bloke called Geoff Prentice who
I've known for about 25 years. He's built a V-Max sidecar outfit from
scratch utilising a home built hub-centred steered front end that is
mounted off the chair, complete with steered third wheel. He taught
himself how to weld alloy to make the body of the chair, and a
respectable job he's done too. There were other people I haven't seen
for years there too, I'm going to stop going there.
I haven't a clue where exactly you are, but I had an idea you were
    close.

I spent the best part of the night chatting to Pete and my old mate Tin-
Tin[1]. They were the only people there I'd want anything to do with.

[1] He's just finished fully restoring a 1975 CB750K2, which he now uses
    daily.

Blue with gold stripes. Fella's firmly stuck in the early 80s.

I nearly bought a blue one.

I wasn't expecting it to be a a twin, neither was I expecting it to be so
awful. Oddly, I didn't buy it.

S'not awful. Really, it isn't. Happily kept up with assorted fazers and
stuff on way up[2], hunted down long caterpillars of plastic frippery on the
scenic route home. I call her Gerald[3].

[1] - She isn't. She does however have an ugly boyfriend.
[2] - OK, so after a hard thrashing down the motorway, she likes to stop and
think awhile before moving off from the lights again. But she's an old
lady, so I can forgive her little foibles.
    [3] - She's getting rather old but she's a *good* bike.

    It's a bit of a joke, though.
