    Hi all,
Any one here had any experience with Throat Mikes on the UHF communicators
around?? I am upgrading my CB(am) to a UHF set which comes with a throat
mike option which they reckon cuts out a lot of the background noise, like
ya get when sailing along at a great rate of knots..............any one
tried them on a bike???? wot were they like??

    Cheers

I fly paragliders and use UHF comms. [three dimentional motorcyling ]
Tried throat miikes 4 years ago - lasted 3 months and went back to mike
    inside helmet.
Problem was that others could not hear me - had to press the mike to my neck
to get them to hear - if I increased the output volume then there was to
    much background (wind) noise.
