Well my 9R has an after market shock and race system. It still can't beat
the GSXR1000 engine. But the K1 K2 look like an older bike than the ZX9.
Plus the ZX9R is much more comfy. Especially on the wrists. And its green.

I'm having a new set of tyres fitted this week. Looking forward to it.

 

And I'm still running mine in!

I generally work on the basis that there's not much point in me fixing up
bike bodywork, 'cos I'll only go and **** it up again six weeks later. Maybe
my '6R will look like it did when I bought it again, just before I sell it.

I'm keeping those for track use or respraying, they are all wiped out
from Hog's track-day incident. They are probably in worse condition
than the ones you already have.

I fabricated and welded a complete new mounting into my Thunderace
fairing when I repaired it. Anything can be done if you have the time
and know how.

IIRC they are declared as 168bhp but I have seen a K4 Dyno at 152 at rear
wheel what do the K2s make

Hmm I'm not sure about side panels (the right side may have been binned
by mother I'm seeing) but the top half if pretty good, slight split
around the right side air tube vent but not really noticeable from the
outside.

Hmm. I think K1/2s were claimed 160, rear wheel 145. So, a small but
useful hike.

Most the club race gixxers with a pipe and a power commander make over
160bhp at the back wheel with no trouble at all!
