Three Line Number Plates

I'm after a rear three line number plate for a pre 2001 bike. Anyone
    know of a supplier?

None of the usual suspect number plate firms list them - or at least none
of the ones I could find.

It also seems that "show plates" bearing a UK registration are now a
    thing of the past.

Huh? There are still loads of sites advertising them.

Where? I couldn't find any but I should have said I'm after black on
    reflective yellow.

    I've used these before: http://www.myshowplates.com/

No three line option that I can find though.

Cheers, doesn't solve the three line problem but it does seem that the UK
based firms have stopped doing show plates (myshowplates.com is based in
    Jersey).

Try phoning someone. They may do formats not on the website.
    Fancyplates.com is helpful.

http://www.dangeruk.co.uk/enter.html used to do flexible plates in any
format for off-road roading, & reflective backgrounds to make your own
up. Dunno if they still do but might be worth a try.
I believe they were banned a year or two ago.

Thanks for that. Worked out at £9.

I simply used a standard bike plate rotated 90° with three lines. Custom
sizes were an extra £10 and as there was only a few mm difference a
    standard plate would do.

    Fucking saga lout.
AOL. Loud cans made sense when they were a way to release extra power,
but they're hardly necessary on modern bikes.

I was a bit surprised that the CBR600's full Akrapovic system is
quieter than my daughter's old 2008 model GSXR600 was with standard
exhaust. When tested at Oulton Park, mine was reading 96dB and Caz's
was higher at 97dB. Caz's bike officially failed the noise test, but
she was let out on track anyway as it was obvious it was stock and
    untampered with.

I cba to put a loud can on the Versys because it's not that kind of
bike. The only reason I'd change the silencer is to put a lighter
carbon fibre one on because the heavy stock can has a habit of breaking
the downpipes - I've already had mine replaced under warranty.

My KTM isn't exactly subtle, though it's whisper-quiet compared to the
same bike with open pipes (which in turn sound utterly obnoxious, and
    not in a good way)

Hence the 'ish'. They're MOTable, but may not be entirely road legal.
