    I remember Gorden Kaye saying in an interview many years ago that they
    had a saying on the show:

    They have been able to pick it up on satellite for years

    I remember being in a restaurant just outside Nuernberg err ... 25 years
    ago, hearing the fressers at the next table talking about it

    They showed some clips and it sounded awful. I liked the unimpressed
    test audience, too.

    "Perhaps once German viewers have sat through all 85 episodes of 'Allo
    'Allo!, they'll be laughing just as loud as the rest of us. "

    The Beeb are wrong here though - the "rest of us" weren't all
    laughing.
