Alternatively we could just kill-file each other.
Well, you know, I thought I might try to get some sort of Single White
Female[1] thing going, but as I have no musical ability[2], can't ride for
toffee and I'm not as, erm, adventurous with the ladies I think the whole
    idea is a bit of a non-starter.

Shame, really, as I've already spent 20 quid on a wardrobe ominously similar
    to yours.

[1] You know what I mean.
[2] Thrown out of music lessons at school for being able to get the
    triangle wrong[3].
[3] A complete lack of any sense of rhythm is the problem[4] here.
[4] And another good reason why I'm no longer Catholic[5].
[5] As the joke goes; why have the blacks got all of the rhythm when it's
    the Catholics who need it?

Would you like a bite of this Bombay Duck I'm eating?

We should celebrate our differences, brother! You're much funnier
than me, climb way better, and are indubitably a better speccy geordie
    twat. What a double act!
20 quid! I bet you look *sharp*

You're right. With your god-like riding ability and my so-so climbing, your
musical talent and my humour, your ladies man bit and my twat-in-specs act
    we could ...

    we could ...

    we could ...

we could, well, carry on doing pretty much what we've been doing so far,
    really.

Good point - the only one I didn't walk/ride away from was on a straight
    road.

I do use them, and they have come in handy. The most useful time was
when I was heading up to rivington along a wide, fast single carriageway
road, 1 lane each way. I had positioned myself to overtake a car, and
knew there was a bike behind me. I waited for the oncoming traffic to
go past, signalled as the last car cleared. Looked in my mirror to see
bike still there so started accelerating. Did a quick lifesaver to see
that matey was now going for where I was going for. Had I not swerved
    back we would've collided.

It turned out we were going to the same place, so I wandered over and
asked him why he'd done what he'd done[1] when I was indicating, etc.
He said something along the lines of "because I wanted to". It was a
handy reminder that you can't rely on anyone elses logic matching your
    own.

[1] I was angry, but I was also curious.

Unfortunately, due to work changing my release arrangements and family
stuff I can't do either of those days now.

They'll probably be really nice sunny winter days too.
