Ok, so "proper bike" is old style shite?

    Got it now, thanks.

Seriously dude, can you adjust your client to quote properly? It's
    getting rather irritating.

For TOG values of modern ... 11 years is positively cutting edge.

Very sweet. If it's half as good as it looks and what he says then it's a
    cracking deal.

The last and (IMHO) best of the GPZ900s: no bloody silly anti-dive,
17" front wheel, uprated brakes, all engine mods done.

Offered him a grand after I was outbid and it failed to make reserve:
    agreed on £1100.

IMHO, that is a *hell* of a lot of bike for £1100, and unlikely to
    depreciate.

I had an A8 in red and black. Lovely bike, took me 2600 miles around europe
on a fortnight two up with luggage without a problem. I'd love another just
for the nostalgia but unfortuanately my missus isn't so keen and prefers a
    garden.

Very nice. I'd like an A1, despite the 16" wheel etc, just cos I
lusted after them madly when they came out.

Are you *sure* it wasn't a 900? The movie came out in '86, IMDB[1] says
it was a 1985 ZX900, and I believe the ZX750-F1 was first sold (in the US)
    as a 1987 model.

I'm just going by what I was told by the Kawasaki rep who used to call
on the bike shop I was working for back then.

  15. Dunno, and in a moment of insanity, I've decided not to buy it after
    all.

Reason: I really don't need it, but I'd like it, and the garage is full,
and I don't want to sell either the BMW or the Ducati....

Horses for courses. I'd not use a sports tourer in place of a tourer
    for daily commuting.
