Who's going, is it still 10:30 at the H&J, and are we doing beer/food
    afterwards?

Champ is presently winging his way to Bedford for a night on the beer
so there could be a bit of handicapping system in action tomorrow
    morning.

10.30 for 11am departure. We usually seem to end up somewhere with
food & drink (ER, Fox's), though I'm meant to be firing up my nice new
barbecue tomorrow evening so won't be stuffing my face.

  6. Who else is going? Not because I don't want to ride with you but because
you're way faster than I am and I haven't learned the route.

Ginge is meant to be turning up, I'm not exactly fast. It won't be all
    FBC.

  10. I was comfortable. I only bought a T-Shirt because I forgot my suncream.
Cunts. I was well on the way to Newbury.

I just got back, and have finally discovered what knee sliders are for.

They're to give you extra leverage when your leathers are stuck to your
sweaty legs and normal pulling and wriggling alone will not release
    them.

    Obviously.

Where the **** did you go when you decided to stop following everybody?

  13. I didn't decide to stop following everybody. I took a detour into Tescos
for some petrol and seeing Bonwick at the mini-roundabout thought
there'd be others in there or would follow in or at least have a few
waiting in the pits (bus stop).

I came out, there was no-one in, I turned left at the roadworks, went
through Biscester, phoned DanL for directions to Fox's and then ended up
only a few miles from Newbury.

Why didn't you mention that you needed fuel before we left the H&J?

I was under the impression that you were behind Ogden and somewhere
near Ginge and Badger? If that's correct there's no way you'd have
seen me at the mini roundabout because we were well past there and
waiting at the lights for quite a while before anyone else caught up.
We managed to find the pub in Postcombe and get food and beer so we
    were happy.

  15. I did but that was before you came and Ogden's a deaf ****.
I was with Badger all the way to the roadworks. Ogden went past only a
few miles after leaving the H&J. I didn't see Ginge at all.
WEll, yes. I stopped briefly at a summer fair/fete on the A34 and took
in some of that before filling my face at the ghastly Little Chef
    somewhere near a MOD barracks.

    ****.

  16. OK, I've thought about it.
Because I didn't think you'd want to stop.
Same as before but the LC isn't that ghastly because for all of the hype
it's not that bad and it isn't as threatening as going into a place with
    families and kids.

    Small error there.

I knew I'd make Englands Rose on the fuel I had but I'd need to fill
up very soon after if I'd been giving the bike some stick. I could
have filled up in Buckingham and then made it home after the pub so it
wouldn't have bothered me. Obviously I can't speak for the others on
    this one.
The majority of people at the pub were old bastards on almost as old
British bikes. I don't think there were any kids in sight.

You turned up at the H&J a good 20 minutes before the others, plenty
of time to go and fill up!

You were only 65-odd miles from here. You might as well have popped in for
a brew and a go on the Ural.

  20. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Badger
Is it just me, or is he getting more "Uncle Ernie" as he gets older?

He showed up unshaven at WUNDerland this morning and I had to fight the
    urge to back away.
