So, me and the bike head out for a little hoon this morning. I get on Hwy 237 West at Crossman and start to roll open the throttle in my usually spirted fashion when something catches my eye in the mirror. A pair of bikes side-by-side with no headlights. Muddy cat, I say, this looks like the coppers and they are closing fast, you better back off a bit. So I do, just as they pull even with me. CHiPS they are, so I give 'em a wave and of course they don't - then I take another look, it's another pair right behind them. Bugger me, and yet more. *snort* it's a bloody parade, 20 of California's finest followed up by a sergeant in the rear. They are pulling away now so I wick it up a bit. 65, 70, 75, oo er 80 in a 55; we get on 85 North and continue the pace, with me a discrete distance behind. What fun, all the cage traffic is in a panic, it's 21 BMWs and 1 SV cooking down the line. I wish them a fond fair thee well as they take the 280 exit and I head to the hills where there was no traffic and dry roads. You _really_ should have caught up with them and told them that they missed George by a day or two ... Dave S. 1996 FLHR-I Road King BS#146, DOF#181, NEWT#4, KOTOR#1, SENS, CVNS G&W
I *really* wanted to pull in the slot next to the sergeant. Hello BTW. -- muddy Testing the limits of gravity since 1947. icq - 219328929
I caught up with this herd on 280, just as they reached 92. They headed west and I east, but it took some effort not to follow to see if they were headed for Skyline for a bit of OJT. Waa a sight, indeed. Damn, what if they all went to Skywood and parked in a row, and I missed the photo op? Damn! Jeff "You can never have too many VFRs" Aldrich
