    Hi Everyone

I'm thinking of giving up the CBR600RR3 and returning to the K75S.

It's coming up to the end of the 2 year warranty period (12th April).

I've just got it back from it's 8000 mile service and the rear brake
link recall fix. Two Wheels said I needed a new front tyre so I got them
    to put one on.

They were also supposed to fix the trip reset button but were short of
staff so didn't, so it's got to go back in again on Tuesday.

I was thinking of putting it on ebay with a buy it now price of £5100.

I'll put 12 months road tax on for the sale.

    Location: Edinburgh
That's in Scotland so it has been ridden in the wet.

Any suggestions including "Don't do it" before I commit myself.

The reasons for getting rid off it are.

    1. It's not really my style of bike and I'm constantly suffering from
    vascar fear.
I have a 16 mile run to work and the speed limit for a lot of it is 50
mph (in open countryside FFS !)
    2. Robert Kiyosakis' book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" .
    3. I've got the sports bike thing out of my system.
    4. I've hardly ridden it because of the crap weather so I might as well
dust off the K75S for the occasional sunny day.
    5. If I haven't done a wheelly on it in two years I never will :-(

  2. If your rear tyre ran out at 4,000 miles and you've had a new front put
on at 8,000 miles, how come you don't need another rear?

    Just curious, like.

    Get rid of it.
    Change your job.
Sell it as a time share.
    Are you sure?
    The weather is getting better.
    Never give up.

New rear has only done 3K (changed at 5145 miles) so it's good for at
least another 1K to 2K miles.

I thought the front looked good for a few K more when I put it in for
the service, was a bit surprised when they phoned to say it needed replaced.

  6. You should've asked for gold plated valve caps too. Oh, and take your
time because I'm only paying you by the hour.

    Cunts.

Donald emerged from their own little world to say
Haha. They've obviously got you well trained as a cash cow.

I would've told them to **** off; then suggested that if they had time to
remove a wheel and nip around to a tyre fitter they had time to fix the
    wonky odometer.

I'd then take my wheel to a tyre fitter and get a new tyre when I decided
    it needed replacing.

What's the betting they spot something else that needs fixing when you take
    it back next week?

The harsh reality of owning a bike which isn't a C90.

Just dusted off the K75S and it needs a new battery, a new rear master
cyclinder and a service kit for the rear caliper. So it's cost me about
£5.50 a month for the last 24 months to sit in my garage and collect
    cobwebs.
It's a main Honda dealer with a Honda warranty, if they find something,
they fix it and can chase Honda for payment.

To be honest I'm not too bothered about the tyre after a lucky reminder
    with the rear.

A week after getting the rear replaced a sliver of metal got embedded in
it, the extra rubber absorbed it without any damage. If it had happened
a week earlier when running on nylon it would have been serious instant
    deflation time.

It's a Honda, probably doesn't actually need a service for twenty
thousand million miles but they put them in to keep the dealers happy.
