The vast majority I would imagine, including mine. It's probably more
than the turnover of most companies (again, including mine). I'm not
sure how much you think is made by all those thousands of corner shops,
butchers, fish mongers, hair dressers, fastfood places, small
engineering firms, builders, roofers, gardners, IFAs etc etc but it
sure as hell ain't in the millions.
I really wouldn't. I said accounts, not predictions by a union.

How many companies of that size and/or turnover would consider those
    `profits' to be massive?
If you look at the bottom of the page, you will see a link to a PDF
    containing the data.

That's not a bad profit by anyones standards. Maybe the fees are too
    high?

If they were bullet-proof, then yes, cos you'd only need about ten of
    them, after all.

ummm, Since the Bronze Age. Military equipment has always gone for the
leading edge, whether it's weapons, vehicles, spy gear, or uniforms.
If you want to win, you give them what you can. Plastic body armor has
been around quite a while. There's been a scandal about armor for
Humvees in Iraq. Since such a high percentage of casualties are from
IUDs, it only makes sense to increase the armor on the vehicles, yet
logistics, greed, and politics kept it from happening. When the war
started, Humvees weren't "meant to have" the extra armor, but things
    changed fast.

It's a problem, allowing women to serve in the forces...

OK, what's going on? Nearly everywhere I read on the internet this past
week has made some "joke" reference to the offside rule.

Define useful & shite, I suspect your definitions would differ from
others. Anyway from a personal POV I see no problems with educating
    people in general.

You obviously haven't watched any news, read any papers or looked at
any news websites for a while.

And a woman we know who does relevant stuff for the Armed Forces could tell
him that protecting a Landy or Hummer against IED's is well nigh impossible.
Consider that an anti tank weapon the size of a baked bean can can penetrate
and disable a main battle tank. What chance does a few centimetres of steel
and composite have against a device that may contain several kilos of
explosive. Particularly when the insurgents have been trained by the
Iranians to produce said IED's to an above "I" level.

I dunno, but the soldiers in the field seem to think the beefed-up
    vehicles do save lives.
