Would that it was so! The right turn goes into the alley at the back of the
house, only one way in and out.

Trust me, no way on God's Green Earth could anything get through, they were
literally nose to bumper. I've gotten quite good at filtering, tho' I say so
meself.) For those who know N London, the M25, A406 and A10 and getting in
and out of the centre of London as regular routes don't half teach you to
filter, eh? I wonder, though, if I got a trailie, would there be too much fuss
if I rode over the car bonnets <vbeg>

Aye, you're right, should have swapped over earlier. Normally I do get the old
"chug-chug" feel when the tank needs swapping, but I think I missed it this time
due to being stationary for a while. Can't blame anyone or anything but my own
attack of being a prat really, tbh.
Still, gave a giggle to a few bored motorists, I s'pose )

I can deliver as I can have a few pints in Enfield or I can deliver and
    collect the BMW.

I'm away from home for the next week and I still need to take a look at
the yokes so it'll be in at least a week.

Heh. It was falling off the Quota at an embarrasing 10MPH wot did it.
It's a long way down off one of those bikes.

Hmm, good reason not to walk a heavy bike around, why not sit on it and
    paddle it back ?

I'm getting better at moving the VTR1000 around after having walked
round with the superdreams off the bike. Don't think I ever move the
12R around without being astride it. Damn heavy (and expensive) if you
    overbalance with it.
They are that. I've had the 12R down at 45 degrees and saved it.
I picked up the CBR1100 single handedly. Mind you this was with the
benefit of adrenalin and a few torn muscles in my upper back ...

    Cheers

    Wrong way around the bollards.

Fair annoys plod that does, as it upsets the pedestrians no end. ;-)

I tend to turn the gixxer round in the garage on the side stand, as I
believe somebody (Lozzo?) demonstrated at the BOSM. Just stand on the
lhs and grip the far side of the seat, pulling towards you to lift the
back wheel off the ground, then swivel it round on the stand dragging
the front tyre as you go.

Yep. Impressive for a small fella. I'll be practicing that manouvre on
    something I don't care about first !

This afternoon I picked up Pip's VF750 on my own, after it fell over in
the garden. Bearing in mind it has seized brakes and a full tank of
fuel, and it was on wet grass as well.

    It won't.
Course it can, particularly when the 'big' bike in question is a
lightweight like a gixxer. But you'll put more stress on it just
sitting on the bike while it's on the stand than swivelling it round,
not least because doing the latter you're putting the stand itself
much more upright, so the bending forces it has to deal with are
    relatively small.
