Things I've learned this week

    Army barracks are awfully, awfully basic. Where's the WiFi FFS?

    Field kitchens serve up surprisingly good food.

    There are some pretty big bugs in this country, including one that
    sounds like a set of clackers when it flies (for those old enough to
    remember clackers).

    Anyway, this is where I am this week, I'm just hoping to escape
    tomorrow to get to the Canadian Superbikes round at Tremblant.

    Not quite the same thing, but when I last went paintballing, the chef
    there whipped up a lovely chile con carne.

    There was loads of it, too.
