    1. Fucked the front suspension
    2. Rode a KTM 950 SM
    3. Made a curry

    1. Unless I get it sorted before Friday, that's Chimay out. Bollox !! The
front is weaving like ****, so I suspect the springs have had it.
Interesting 170 odd miles trip home tonight, I can tell you. Oil has
recently been replaced and there are no leaks, so it must be the springs
    (right?)
    2. One word: FAAARRRKKK
    3. When it says to only use 4 tbs of paste, it is not a good idea to use two
jars, simply because you think it should and you're always right.

Let me see if I've got this right:
The oil has recently been replaced and now the suspension is fucked?
Hmm, maybe the 2 are related?

You thought your Wing was a bit vague? Ha!! Makes it look like a 10R
    compared to mine now.

Sounds a bit unlikely. What can possibly have happened to the springs?
More likely damping, surely. Have you adjusted anything?

Jesus. First Statto bins it, now you're wibbling about your wibbly front
    end.

    Get it sorted, please.

    Wrong.

Who did the work? How do you know the oil levels are correct? More to
the point, and *much* more serious (though easier to remedy) are you
sure that things like the wheel nut and fork clamp bolts in the yokes
    have been done up properly?

    Ok

Garage did the work, as to the levels, can't say, haven't got the tools and
the ability atm to check. Everything appears to be bolted up correctly. This
is a problem that has come on gradually. I'll have to do another 170 mile
trip and have it checked. I'm cack-handed what this is concerned. A friend
of mine isn't. Will have to do the whole shebang (forksprings,
    chain/sprokets, brakes).

I just don't dare riding through (semi) twisties in the Ardennes now. Really
pissed off as I was looking forward to a nice trip. Weather is going to be
    glorious as well. :-(

Platy, I've sent you a mail concerning costs etc. lemme know and I'll get it
    sorted.

Not entirely, trying to loan a bike, but if that fails (likely), I don't
want Platy to come up short.

Believe you me, when I say it's fucked, it's fucked. A few people have had a
go on my VTR when it was still yellow and they vowed never to ride it again
(no, not the shame of it, although that may have been a contributing
factor), I still thought it was ok.

This (the bit about when the bike was yellow) was before I changed brake
discs. It now feels as if the front is fucked and I suspect the springs.
Why? A friend of mine said so, so there :).

I just don't feel I get the feedback I used to get to the point I don't feel
    very safe on it.

  15. It's probably something minor but with a disproportionate effect. How
are the tyres (wear and pressure), suspension bushes (front and rear),
    swingarm bushes/bearings?

Saggy springs, in and of themselves, shouldn't suddenly make a bike feel
unrideable - my guess is that something else has worn or drifted out of
adjustment and combined with one or two other things to make it feel
    iffy.

Or maybe your bottle's gone...just get on and ride it. :)

Unless the forks have been stripped and incorrectly assembled it's not
that. The front or rear end could be incorrectly assembled. A wheel
could be badly out of alignment. Forks or yokes bent, but only if
crashed or run over a brick. As Grimly says, SA, head or wheel bearings.

If you hadn't moved so fucking far away I could have come and fixed it
(as usual). Probably have taken 30 minutes. Where do you live now?

South-East of Holland. I've got a 'Hog' here as well. He's available to me
in one of the next coming weekends and will fix it.

    Bikes done 80 000km now, I want to get it to 100 000 :)

You've got a point there. So basically, what you are saying is that the bike
is doing me a favour being shit?

    Yep.

Feedback is very over rated anyway. Unless you can interpret and act
on what you can feel happening then there's no point in worrying about
    lack of it.
