Can I do both of them at once?

If not I'll just have the first one, please.

Solidarity? Because we share one hobby? **** off.
I might nod, if I think of it. But bear in mind that most of my
biking has been into and out of Central London. One tends to "tune
out" of that nodding thing, or one would get a bad neck. Usually,
when I go for a Sunday morning blast after a period of commuting, the
first time someone nods or waves I think, "Who the **** is that? What
does he want?". Then I remember.
We aren't any better than car drivers. We've just got fewer wheels.

Fair enough, I don't nod when I'm biking in central London.
We're better in that we do look out for each other, which costs nothings and
    takes a minimal effort.

When I popped out yesterday afternoon another biker was kind enough to warn
me, with a quick thumbs down, that there was speed camera van parked up.

As they weren't warning car drivers I assume they warned me because I was on
the bike. The car drivers that were around weren't warning each other.

I'd say that's better, certainly from the POV of my licence.

That to me, is a London thing, not a bike thing - my new neighbour is still
in London mode - dirty looks at everyone, leaving stuff about - great way to
    start
off things with the neighbours. The "Me" attitude. [1]
I think the idea of humanity, rather then 'bikers' is the idea - ie someone
in trouble, you offer assistance etc

[1] not saying you have a 'Me' attitude.

    Oh, I dunno.

Sitting at Old Street roundabout this evening, having just given it
berries up Great Eastern Street, a plod bike pulls up alongside me.
I nod, he opens up the front of his lid...

    "Race ya?" he says
"Come on, I've got a disadvantage"
He looks down at his pan euro. "What disadvantage??"
    "I win, I get nicked!"
He chuckles. "Sounds nice. What can have you got on it?"
"Art race can. It's legal!" says I, with a cheeky grin.
    "Couldn't give a ****," says he, "so long as it's loud, that's
    all that matters"
Lights change, he carves a couple of cars up on the roundabout and
fucks off down towards Clerkenwell, POLICE glowing on the back of
    his bike.

And you say "we" aren't any better than car drivers, eh? ;)
