    A descendent of mine (Tom Maxfield) was a bit of a runner it seems and
    recorded a time of 1hour 58 minutes running 20miles on the Bath Road out of
    Slough.

    This was in 1845 (16th May) so it would seem that even back then Slough was
    *the* place to get the **** out of.
