Indeed. TBH I found most of the last two series entirely cringeworthy
anyway, so I can only dread what they'll do to it now.

Oh, and don't you love the way the article refers to "Coronation
    Street's Craig Charles"?

  5. I watched a lot of the series first time round but not all of them.
I've only watched a couple of repeats on Satellite.

It is one of the box sets I'd like to get. I loved the humour.

    Erm and?

Plus the box sets of the Jacques Cousteau series. But the only thing
that stops me getting them is the company who remastered the films for
DVD edited them from the hour programme to 40 odd minutes so they could
be sold to TV networks and have space for 20 minute of adverts in the
    hours presentation.

  7. It's going to be shit.

"The new two-part series Red Dwarf: Back to Earth will be followed by a
"no holds barred" episode without sets, special effects or autocue."

Kerist, that sounds like shit already.

And jolly good it is too. It's the originals, not the 'remastered' ones.

Or like a play put on in a cheap theatre. I believe I'll still be watching
    it though.

I don't know why those two fell out, but apparently, Craig Charles and Chris
Barrie hated the sight of each other too.

I wouldn't be surprised, as I always got the impression Craig Charles
was a bit of a cock.

I pissed next to him once. How's that for a claim to fame?

A crap poet, but he didn't USED to be a cock in real life. Well not when he
    was sober.
I came across him[1] at a few clubs years ago, so.. ner:)

[1] not in the biblical sense.
