_many_ years ago when I used to fix the little rascals, there was many a tale of 120+! The thing that surprised me most about these tales of rocket propelled Norton's was, that the guy's managed to stop the bloody thing and tell the tale! Getting 120+ wasn't too much of an issue, hauling the chunk of iron back down to walking pace was more of a problem though. -- Greybeard FLHTCUI UK-07 Mk II Trumpet Trophy 1200 new one coming soon! I was in the company of several Notruns at yesterdays shite-old-triumph do. My outrider (a damned bokker) did not know what a Commando was, so I enlightened him. There were various flavours, including those what proudly proclaimed "electric start", and a yellow one with a ducks arse and high level pipes (750 "s" IIRC). Having explained to my associate that an acquaintance of mine had replaced his freshly disastered Vmax with a Commando, all I got was a quizzical look, and a "why?". I had no answer for him. -- Dan L http://thebikeshed.spaces.live.com/ 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005/6/7) X-FOT#000 DIAABTCOD #26 BOMB#18 (slow) OMF#11
Heh ;o) Damn. Mustn't ride those rocket propelled Norton's, when one has had too many Hobgoblins. Don't know WTF happened there then? -- Greybeard FLHTCUI UK-07 Mk II Trumpet Trophy 1200 new one coming soon! Garmin Zumo 550, To get me home! ukrm@foxtails[dot]co[dot]uk
