Senior MGP cancelled. What a let down for Champ and everyone else.
The web cam at the Bungalow tells the whole story though. Hopefully I
will be there to watch next year.

According to Manx Radio a lack of Marshalls meant the race couldn't be
postponed until tomorrow. I wonder if the TT Centenary was a factor.
Perhaps a few regular marshalls who usually go over for the Manx went to
that instead this year.

Well at least you had a good result and personal best in the Junior.

Hardly a consolation, but Prescott is looking quite promising. Closing
date extended and entry (35 riders) not yet full, but the Secretary of
the Meeting has to wait for everyone entered in the cancelled meeting to
confirm if they can do the 22nd September. Some people can't get to
Saturday events though so it could well be on.

Miserable ole sod. Look on the bright side, you have a nice set of
probably achievable targets for next year and some of them will be
firsts.

he actually took it quite well, in the circumstances, but then he'd
got another replica and a 115mph lap and a 9th place, so he could
still be justifiably proud. What he'd have done with the bumped up
start place (15th, from 29th) was something we'll have to wait until
next time to see.

Keith was actually a lot more pissed off, having done not too well in
the junior but holding high hopes for the senior. But he was somewhat
mollified by being given a special award for 'services rendered above
and beyond'.

Yeah, I know :-{ As we walked back up to the cars after the
presentations Sara was taking the piss 'cos I was walking so slow and
when she said "A young fit person like you..." I almost snapped her
head off. An absolutely sure sign that the previous three days had
taken mfar too much out of me.

Well I didn't get up until 7:30, but yeah, I sure appreciated it.
