  1. .... quite fascinating about watching ice form on the sleeves of one's
jacket while one's hands remain lovely and toasty,

    Heated gloves rock.

The adjustment feature on the Exos seems a little coarse, not much
happens until you set it to 8, and it needs 9 for open road stuff. It
    doesn't go to 11.

    Other than that, they rock.

    <Jealous>
Christ I wish I had heated boots this morning. The handlebar muffs work
fairly well and my hands were pretty cold, but my feet were freezing when I
got in to work on the FJ this morning. I wish I had the spare Guzzi finsihed
as the barrels/heads keep your knees and feet all toasty like.
Cracking ride in though. The FJ loves the cold air.

My body never seems to get that cold, so I doubt it. If they did an
    electric nose-warmer, however...

One of the reasons why the Lazer Revolution is the best winter helmet
I've ever owned. Double glazed visor which refuses to mist up,
flip-down dark tint inner visor for those low morning suns, & a
fighter-pilot-stylee rubber mask that keeps your nose & mouth toasty
    warm.

It's a shame it weighs as much as a small bungalow, but you can't have
    everything.

I was out on the outfit this morning around 7. The temp gauge in the car
reckoned -5 and the Met Office reckoned Filton was reporting -2.8, so a
little crisp. Hands and feet were a bit cold, but the main problem was the
visor misting up. I went out a bit later with the open-face on,and that was
much better, but I think I would need a balaclava of some sort.

I only wear an open-face but my choice of skin covering is a dogeared old
    shemag, 'Team Hesbollah-stylee'.
Balaclavas are so the old '80s PIRA-look.

Not sure about the side effects. Although it seems it can be present in
breast milk, which would be an interesting application method.

You know, I should probably get another one of those. I really liked the
two I had, and the new Shoei just isn't as good. It mists up (despite
the Pinlock thingy) and I really miss the sun visor. They also crash
    well...

Who stocks the Revolution these days?

We used to call them "PLO scarves".
The ones with the separate holes are the worst - the mouth-hole looks like
something you might see in a cubicle in the queers' bogs.

It's something to do with the way the lips and the hair poke through the
hole, and whether or not you can see teeth.

Rode through about 30 miles of freezing fog yesterday.

It's the first time I've ever had to wipe ice from my visor, and every
30 feet at that, also the first time I've ever watched ice forming on my
    jacket sleeves as well.

I wonder if you can get a thin thermal warmer that will fit between the
    visor and your face.

I think it might be needed for ukrm does Elefantentreffen.

Do you think they rock Nigel? ;-).

So, how were the connectors .. easy to 'connect' with gloved hands?

What about the feel .. for our novice daughter .. do you think they
would be too thick / restrictive (although compared with numb fingers
    ....) ?

    All the best ..
