    Looks plausible, although the lack of details may point to a hoax. In
    any event, it's not metallic aluminium, and would probably consist of
    oxides and other compounds rather than just the pure element.

    Unlikely to be proper metal, as my physics teacher used to point out, the
    most amazing property of metals, is that even at one atom thick, they
    theoretically wouldn't allow any light through.
    (CD's do so because they're full of holes)

  13. Melting point of aluminium is around 660degC - that example shown
    mentions a baking temp of 1200degC; I suspect it's an aluminium/ceramic
    composite with jiggerypokery thrown in.
