Just like to say the damn theory test is a con. Theory is
straightforward yet the stupid hazard perception bit disqualified me (on
the double-hazard clip, typical) for clicking too much - 10 marks down
the pan. Yet the instructions said to click for every hazard (and
thought I better click more than once because I've been told you can be
too "good" and score 0 marks).

Passed anyway, but it's still a con.

    PS

Anyone else thinking of taking the test, feel free to grab:

Its complete crap. Failed first time, then I was advised to just click
every 10 seconds, so I did, and I passed on the re-take.

What is this theory test of which you speak ?

it was three times round the block and an emergency stop when I took my
    test

And "do an emergency stop" meant "I'll step out into the road 300
yards in front of you on a long straight and you have to try to stop
that CG125[1] with its awesome drum brakes, without falling off and
    without hitting me".

My first examiner had far more faith in the CG125's brakes than I did,
I thought he wasn't going to bother asking me to stop as there might
have been a car coming behind me or something, but step out he did.

CBT out of the way now too. I'm hooked. Got to get DAS booked - will
    ring them tomorrow morning!
