The Yanks are lousy shots

  1. It's just a normal part of riding the bike in the British Isles, but
some other countries in Europe don't like it much - iirc the Krauts.

**** that's hot, whereaabouts are you? Or did you mean silly merkin
degrees, in which case that's still far too cold for biking. Been
around (gets out calculator) 80F round here the past few days.

  4. Make the most of it while you've got it - won't be long until you're a
    second-rate power too.
Much as I'd like to, I can't disagree.

I think you'r right, but it's still fairly common practice in cities,
and certainly no-one bats an eyelid when I've been filtering on the
    autobahns.

Here in Switzerland there's a specific clause in the highway code[1]
to ban filtering, but I've always ignored it unless there's obvious
plod looking on, and again, no-one seems to take offence. Of course,
all the scooters, regardless of their actual engine size, simply use
the cycle/moped lanes, but I've always felt that's rather poor form
    and haven't often done so.

[1] Which has the force of law, unlike the UK version.

  6. Ace, what is wrong with riding when it is 20F? I ride in colder when roads are
clear. Oh time I absolutely wont ride is when there is snow/ice on the roads.
Rain? Ridden to often through thunderstorms.

History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational
basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the
unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and
spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from
    fiddling with it.

  8. You mean we aren't now? Dangit, I didn't get the memo.
In the long run though family, fame, position, power, public adulation and role
mean nothing. The only thing that matters is what kind of person you are...it
would be interesting to find out. Mind you if she were a neighbour she'd either
have to learn to ignore the big dog or make friends with the lummox

Is there? Just as well I didn't have to do the theory test - I completely
missed that. I shall read it this evening, just for a laugh.

They are ever so friendly about it. On my way to work this morning a whole
line drifted out of my way on the right, while on the left the wing mirror
of an SLK folded itself to safety. The combination of barge-like size,
rather over-bright headlights and an alarming wobble probably helps.

She has no power and septics pay good dollars to see her. She costs us
about 50p each per year. Think of her not so much as a monarch but a
pile of dog poo attracting yank flies laden with cash.

I thankewe and in particular his musings on NI deserved a wigging. We could
go on to discuss Unilateral disarmament, but I won't.
WRT Champ I am not questioning his intellect etc. just his views.

Having a monarch as head of state in this day and age is ludicrous. You
could keep a stripped-down "monarchy" in the Department of Tourism after you
become a republic. On second thought, seeing Her Majesty or Camilla
stripped-down wouldn't do much for tourism, but anyway you Brits aren't
known for your stunning naked ladies. Kate Moss comes to mind, but she must
be a wreck after years of cigarettes, alcohol, cocaine, and incessant
    humping.

He was a smoker, not that fucking smart then.....wife died of cancer he has
    leukemia.
I would despute that he was a great analytical thinker.
Probably a shite bike rider too and I'll wager that a few of us here could
better chair and run a meeting.
A better public orator? undeniably but so was Adolf.
A great politician? undoubtedly! far above any of us.

Ah. Just Googled, and I got it wrong. 13th century, it appears. Bloody
modern rubbish. Seems there was an earlier church there, but the
present structure only dates from 12-something-or-other.

But, without her and her useless progeny, we'd each be 50p better off [1],
    while the
    septics/frogs/krauts/cloggies/dagoes/wops/wogs/kikes/camel-jockeys/slants/slopes/coons/pakis/rindibindis/micks/ockers/kiwis
[have I forgotten to insult anyone?] would pay even more than they do
already, just to be able to wander round/stay in/hold receptions in/buy
souvenir bits of Buck House/Balmoral/Sandringham/Clarence House/Castle of
Mey. Mrs Queen has done a good job, but when she croaks let's simply grow
    up and do without them.

[1] The Civil List does not include the extra cost of protecting them, or
the on-cost of travel disruption and congestion which surrounds them
    whenever they go anywhere.

well the 5th richest economy in the world in fact and there are only 60
million of us. It's a more stable and stronger economy than yours. We don't
have 12 million illegal immigrants. We have a better tax system.
You let yourself down a bit there, melt a little ice off the edges of the
Arctic and you still have a fucking huge iceberg bigger than any other. They
do need to invest more in modernising their utility infrastructure though
and *really* need to de-politicise their education system.

In Leeds it's a perfect biking day with blue sky. We white line as we were
in a war here. **** knows if it's legal or not!
I do know that people in the USA do a double take when you do filter at
    speed.

Oh I don't know...I'm doing good after a lifestyle like that only more so
(dangerous jobs outdoors) and I've been at it 25 years straight. So she ought to
    do well.

  19. What ever can't really insult me...once you've changed a pair of nappies that
are holding the 10kg they are claimed to. Well dignity becomes superfluous and
along with that goes all the ego crap than makes insultable.

Oh and as for "seeing" the queen...no thanks. I'd rather see the old Healy
factories, Silverstone, Hadrins wall. You know significant stuff that matters to
    homo-sapiens.
