Just that forkful was enough for me, but I'll agree it was one of the most pleasurable curry experiences I've ever had. Not simply an assault on the senses, but a gently progressive sensation that gave each taste bud group in turn a real treat. Really? I *am* surprised! <g>
It's fabulous. The array of meat on offer is, erm . . . , interesting. Can't say I can wholly recommend the crocodile, but the Thompsons gazelle was very tasty. OTOH Ramseys @ Claridges gets my vote. Buzby

snip I took Marina and my parents to Le Manoir as a thankyou to them for helping me over an illness. The menu gourmand was £84 per head (I think...) and I allowed £100 for the wine (one white, one red, took the sommoliers advice...). I don't suppose that we will ever do anything like that again... but I have to say that it was the most superb meal that I have ever had. If you want to go out and enjoy a truly fantastic gastronomique meal (eight courses, I think, oh and complimentary cigars and brandy/whiskey/liquer afterwards...) then Le Manoir will be an experience you will not forget... I know its a lot of dosh, but it really is rather good... -- O ----- 1 Black, 1 Red. | o | Numbers ... | o | Egocentric statement | ooo | -----
There's a couple of those in South Africa. I've been a few times, most enjoyable But you really need to have not eaten for about 2 days before to make the most of it.
