The ultimate Ginge!

I spent this morning attending a fete at the school which Emma will
    hopefully be attending next year.

It was the usual stuff; home-baked cakes, weak squash, cheapo raffles and
crappy stalls. However, one thing caught my attention and needs some
    explanation.

Explanation that can only come from Mr R. Dymond ...

You see there was a lad there, about 10, clad in a black leather jacket,
with a little wallet chained to it, who _was_ a 10 year old Rob (easy to
tell, as Rob himself only looks 12).

He had the hair, he had the glasses, he had the facial expressions,
everything. Lisa (the wife) spotted him as well, but talked me out of
nipping home to get the camera in order to present evidence to this forum,
pointing out that turning up at a school and taking photos of other people's
kids can get you in real trouble these days.

However, I think we deserve to be told - was Ginge slumming it in the North
10 or 11 years ago? Did he pick up a bit of rough (or, more likely, a bit
of desperate) in the Prudhoe area? Perhaps he sold a few sperm samples for
his train fair south (which explains why he could only get as far as Derby).

Come on Rob, tell all or I shall be voicing my suspicions to the CSA on
    Monday morning.

I did do some work in Houghton le spring about 6 years ago.

10 years ago however, hmmm, I'd never been further north than Manchester
    - and you can't prove otherwise.

Lie. You sold me an SV650 in Leeds in December 2000.
Leeds is further North than Manchester as shown here:

Read "I'd" as "I've", damn my eager "send" key.
Maybe you started biking early.. or .. something..

I wish I had. Not riding a bike or getting a bike licence until you're
25 really leaves a lot of catching up to do. Literally.

Could you get a bike licence at 16 in your day then? Mine was only for
a moped until I reached 17, hence the negative value for when I got my

I crash less, so maintain a higher average speed.

Ho yuss. Though you could only ride up to a 250 (I think) on a
provisional and any size combination you wanted.
My application for a provisional was in the post a fortnight before me
    16th birthday.

ah, that explains your comment. I had a moped licence (provisional) at
16, and a motorcycle licence (equally provisional) at 17.

It seems for his and your comments that you had both a license, and
rode a motorcycle, at an earlier age than Ginge. So I think it does
    in fact hold water.
