Whilst in Halfords earlier I met a mate of mine that was in buying some
tools. He had a flexible plug socket and from the gesture he made
demonstrating how it needed to be used I asked if he'd bought a 911.

    Bingo!

So after picking up Horse from a party we popped past said mate's house
as I thought Horse would now be old enough (and have watched Top Gear
enough) to appreciate the finer things...

Horse showed a level of restraint and decorum not typical of a
7-year-old petrol-head as he surveyed the race-ready 911, the shiny
Boxster S, the Caterham Superlight [1] and the beautiful and rally-ready
    Cooper S.

I asked him if, he had the choice, which he would like be taken out in.
He though for a while and pointed at the tired, unloved, elderly Audi
Avant estate thing on the edge of the drive.

    Rather shocked, I asked why.

"Well, Daddy, the Audi's a very good car and in any of the other's you
    look like you're showing off"

Said mate turns to me and retorts "He's your bloody son, all right!"

[1] The one that from a passenger perspective almost got parked in the
from of Black Mike's house a while back, but from the driver's
    perspective was no-where near.
