The tank should stay still, shouldn't it?

I was attaching some cable ties to the frame of Mr. B6 today (Red
cable ties to hold the GPS cable in place) and I tugged them a few
    times.

The tank moved in the direction of the tugging. I've never tugged,
pulled or pushed the tank around before so I'm not sure if it's a new
thing or not. I took off the seat and it's bolted on at aft end as
    one would expect.

I wouldn't normally care but I remember the ER-5 ending up in a 'non
upright' position with full petrol tank still attached. If I threw
the Bandit down the road I imagine the tank would now end up detached
from the frame, which probably isn't such a good thing.

I'll have a look tomorrow to see if there's anything obvious missing
from underneath but is this common?

  2. BGN explained on 24/12/2006 :
I think you will find it is rubber mounted - slots in at the nose into
a rubber mount and the bolt at the back holds the tank via another
    rubber mount.

    BGN says...
Two bolts locate the tank onto a bracket at the back. You need to remove
the seat to check they're still there. It could be that the bracket has
dislodged itself. Either way, a couple of new bolts will have it secured
    again.

No, it needs welding back on.
