The Shining

    Just watched this for the first time from start to finish.

    Not too bad, but I am of the opinion that it was the plot of one
    horror story given the title of another. I just don't see the
    significance of shining as a critical plot element while what *was*
    important was left unexplained.

    Surely the biggest flaw with 'The Shining' is that it's a blatent rip
    off of a Simpson's episode. Groening should sue their butts off.

    At least the acting is better in the Simpsons version.

    Too right. The guy who plays Homer Simpson is much more versatile than
    Jack Nicholson. That said, if he's not careful he's gonna get typecast.
