Saturday morning at Cranbourne , Heap's of bikes to look at, I reckon about
3.5-4,000 bikes, Hey that is a lot of bikes.
Anyway took off at about 10am for the island, I was about 20 bikes back from
    the front.
I am thinking that this is a very tight formation, a bit dangerous for me ,
so what to do, Do I head for the rear or go for the front, Being the
Aus.moto brother (wanker) that I am , I went for the front.

Got there around the koo wee rup entrance, Two cops on bmw's cruising on
about 110km's, a pretty reasononable speed under the curcumstances.

So me on my blackbird and--- This brings me to a point that I would like to
air, All these Harley's. This is a sports bike affair , not boss hogs
birthday, Its not as though they are gunna see a Harley racing around the
track. I am pretty sure that billy-ray-bud-skeeter, dont live around there,
so maybe they should put on a wet "t" shit and Tatt competition on in
Horsham or somewhere like that , and let us folk have a good day .

A great ride none the less.

So I throw open general comment :

My own humble opinion: to use a lame-arsed military metaphor (hey, it's past
bedtime), if we (the motorcyclists of the world) were a battallion, the
Harley riders would be the guys down at the other end of the trench whom I
don't mix with unless I have to. But they are still on our side, not the
enemy's, and there's no confusion in my mind about that point.

Heh. You know at the first GP, the two most common bike marques were
    DUcatis and Harleys.

You can tell someone who is a bit silly when it comes to bikes - they
    are bigoted about a brand.

  5. Trench warfare - like so 1940's. With todays modern equipment youd have to
have rocks in your head to engage in trench warfare. All trenches are these
days are a quick means of burial - the enemies done half the work for you.

What, every last one of them?

Bob Jolley and his post classic racer? Lyle who tosses a coin to decide
which of the Road King or the RC30 he'll ride? Or Leon and his much
modified WLA Time Bandit? Or Alison and her ratty old Dyna, or the bod
who lives next door to work with his Kingswood and his screenprinting
and his boatbuilding and his Softtail? Or the senior tech at the RTA
runs the helmet testing operation and who has been doing a lot of solid
    work with the MCC?

Or just the stereotype ones in his head?
