If it's Smee, he'll probably pike.

I might be up for the brewery run, but I might pike :)

That 'suburb' is actually Mildura. The water-tower at the north end of town
is (or was) in the yard of the old Wintersun Hotel (which has had a variety
    of names since 1990)

In Tassy, Happy Valley is the old name for the Newdegate St area of West
Hobart. Apparently the Quakers settled it, and were known for their
    cheery outlook on life.

Water tower? That explains why there is a trig point called Wintersun there!

  12. I believe that small park around the corner from Newdegate St was
    originally a Quaker cemetery?

  14. Postman Clem indeed... the regular Clem would've seized on Hobart having a
Newdegate St and made some sort of remark about shrinkage.

In NW Vic, Happy Valley is the area just before Robinvale on the Tol Tol
road. Its name is quite appropriate, because there was a HUUUUUGE amount of
dope grown around there in the years before the rest of the population knew
what dope looked like. It was grown all along the Euston - Buronga road in
    vast quantities, too.

  19. Not just hotrods. There was a Wintersun motorcycle rally at Mudgeeraba
last weekend. Held by the Motorcyclist Enthusiast's Club of the Gold
Coast. Best rally in AGES. I loved it. Will be doing it again next
    year.

    while we're singing Scottish ditties

"Ohhhhh.... Cambelltown Loch, I wish ye were whisky,
    Cambelltown Loch, och aye,
Cambelltown Loch, I wish ye were whisky,
    I would drink ye dry."
