I'm thinking of just buying a can of lube and leaving the wax hidden
    away for an emergency too.

  5. Really - the prices vary from bike to bike? If that's true, sorry. I
just assumed they'd charge the same.

The Older Gentleman scribbled on the back of a napkin:
They don't, it's just the cost of fitting that does - the ER-5 should
be pretty cheap as AFAIK you don't need any special gubbins and all
    that.

Yeah, it needs to plant the cookie the first time. If you just
refresh the page it'll work the second time.

Those lights... how does one do dipped/main beam with them?

  13. In uk.rec.motorcycles, BGN amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
Either but ally (aluminium) is my first preference.

I'd pesume that they have instructions on how to rig them up. Although
I'm sure someone here could give you a hand fitting them.

I saw a bike with that model of lights on at Brands t'other day, but
there was no rider around that I could question, I'll have to keep my
    eyes open.
