So, after failing to order the right part (despite having a part number) and
getting the wrong items (womans gloves) in a few weeks ago, we thought they
might do better on getting the correct part (mens gloves) in this time
    round.

    Alas not.

Once again, no communication to let us know they have arrived.

When I do get a chance to go collect (Thursday) I don't really know what I'm
looking for (SO has done the ordering) so assume, especially considering the
bollocking I (and more importantly She) gave him the last time he might have
checked he'd ordered the right thing.

No, another pair of (different) womans gloves.

Phone to complain this morning " You gave us the wrong part number" - right,
    twice - uh huh.
"You should have checked they were right" - yes, this one is true.. .but if
they had posted them to us they would have still been wrong.
"I'm a parts person, the normal accessories woman has broken her leg and
isn't available" (this has been the case for FOUR weeks - great way to run a
    business.
"All gloves look the same to me" [1] - Even better.

They (or rather this specific bloke) won't accept ANY responsibility for his
**** ups. They also won't make ANY effort to make my SO happy - there is
ZERO customer service. All it would have taken this morning would have been
a simple "we're sorry for the hassle, bring them in for a refund and if you
want we'll try sort it out or leave it at that" and she would have been
    annoyed but satisfied.

Instead she's close to throttling something because of the way they've
    handled this.

Apparently no managers work on a Saturday either and there "is no head
office for HD". So there you go - something to bear in mind if you ever want
to buy either kit or bikes from the Oxford harley Davidson branch - I really
    REALLY wouldn't bother.

[1] wonder if that one works when he orders the wrong brakes for a bike.

Have you tried e-mailing Paul Lewis directly?

Who is he? The only Paul is the 'parts manager' that we've been having
    issues with...

Cool - thanks. I've raised a "Customer Service Issue" with the Head Office
(which does exist) so will see how that goes - will keep this one in
    reserve.

Yes I know that, you know that - the bloke in the shop apparently didn't.

It kind of highlights the issue really :)

"HD's are franchises, there is no head office"

I kid you not. I don't think he understands "franchise" either.

Gyp's other post saying he was the racer hadn't appeared at the time I
    posted my reply...

I asked because there was a rider called Paul Lewis who was the 250 rider
for Mobil 1 when my little bro was their 400/600 supersports rider and just
wondered if it was the same guy thats all.

OK, I gotta ask. Why the **** do you keep going back?
Do you _enjoy_ taking it up the arse from these folks?
They can't be the only people you can go to?

  15. remind me why your SO is buying men's motorcycling gloves from a Harley
dealership? This seems a lot of hassle for not a lot of purpose.

Because we have stuff ordered through them. We didn't know when we ordered
this stuff that they were useless.
Oh yes of course I do - what a fcking stupid question.
For what my SO wanted - yes.

*sigh* It is a lot of hassle, but the intent was so *save* some hassle.

Her parents are in Guernsey, apparently the HD dealer in Guernsey is a bit
of a twat in that he won't order anything in the catalogue and if *does*, he
charges a fortune over the odds for it - so her parents asked her if she
could get it locally and then post it over to Guernsey.

Which is what we tried to do - and the result is what you've read here.

Ah. I was under the impression from your posts that
these were separate orders, not one order being
    delivered piece-meal over time.
