The old "Cheap Batteries" thread again!

    Anyone got any suggestions for a cheapie in Brisbane? (I want to sell the
    bike so I'm not looking for "good")

    Wreckers....... I have got my last couple of chains that way.... don't tell
    too many about them thought... there won't be any left for me...
    Re the chains, the operator that removed the last one that I got cut
    through the plates and not the link to remove it..... had to fit 2 joiners
    and they don't come cheap.

    A company in Melb. [MAY have a office in QLD.] called "Born Again Battery"
    sells as per its name with warranty

    Ask RON Clem, he knows everything :))

    cool, he can save 15 bucks on a battery by traveling from brizbane to
    melbourne to pick it up

    Quite understandable. Travelling to anywhere from Brisbane would be a

    Well clem you did say cheap. I saw some at supacheap stones corner that
    resembled bike batteries maybe $20-$30. Freind put one in his old yammie
    ....but i didnt hear an outcome.

    Hope this is for the yammie & not the BM...

    Yep it's for the XJ thanks Phil, but the old one has done a Lazarus so I
    don't need the newie now.

    i got one for the spud from super cheep for 40 bucks, and 8 bucks for acid.

    they had a wide range of them, sizes, shapes and colours :) or maybe i
    should have used a mask when filling the battery.
