I discovered a really cool old Harley museum / bike shop. These guys
specialize in service, parts and restorations of Knuckles, Pans and
Shovels with a few Evos thrown in for good measure.

They have a killer collection of bikes - about 30+ in all - dating from a
couple running 1914s to several late 60s - early 70s.

The shop is called The Old Bike Shop and is located at 1740 Empire
Central, Dallas TX 75235. I hooked up and spoke with Butch who's running
the place. He also pointed out they have several Shovel and Pan motors
that are refurbished and ready for installation. Give them a call at
    214-638-5000.

Sounds like a neat place. We will have to check it out sometimes on
our way over to the Honda shop.

I was amazed. I really like the 40s-60s Harley styles so this place was
fantastic. They sell parts and accessories too but the piece that got me
was the backroom were they have the old bikes displayed.

I'll have to remember that place.
We have one in our neighborhood, called ''Dwights Dream Bikes', off exit
    98, 4 miles west of New Boston,Texas.
They have a coupla old 1946 Harley Trikes, and or sideCars, with big old
16 in. Auto Tires on the back. I believe one was a Police Rig.
They have lots of MC Memorabilia.

I betcha Redshad, and Louie have noticed the sign, coming into New
    Boston from Dallas

The location don't sound right, but I recall another old and independent
    bike
shop in the downtown area.. Those guys had some real old stuff and one of
the main claims to fame was the visits by Elvis Presley and his affection
    for
riding a Harley.. Lots of pictures to commemorate ..

I anyone familiar with that old shop or remember it.. hmmm.. I wonder if
    there
might be some connection with the one you are referring to..

    Just thinking..

Bjay down here says: Yeah I bet you did. Next time you're around this
area, we'll ride over and look.
They have a little Harley like I had in High School. A little 125. I
delivered ''Papers'' off of it rain or shine. In those days no one wore
any thing on the head, and certainly had no W.S. &,if one rode, you were
    called a Harley Thug. (hehehe)

(shoot, that was my first and last harley, what's wrong with me, no
    common cents.

Nah, dont imagine it's the same one. Dwight has been there around 8
years, I believe. He specializes in Hareys, but dont believe he's an
official dealer. Personally I dont recall one down town N.B.

About Elvis, he sure did come to these parts, I saw him 3 times. Twice
here, and once in DeQueen, at their FB arena.
    He was 19 years old.

Exit-98, might be theDeKalb one? If not it is the exit just past, coming
    from Dallas.
