So the literbike rules - or whatever they'll call it (betting is on
Ft. Lauderdale Uberbike) - are in, and it's the same old dsb shit.
185hp cap, no special parts, prespecified models, etc., etc. No $55k
homologation special Ducati - HP cap makes that unnecessary - but they
list the BMW that doesn't even exist yet. There is a purse, and no
participation min and max, which is something good.

So basically it's 1000SS in the same sense dsb is 600SS, which seemed
to be the way it was heading. and it's amazing how much bullsh*t
people went through to get there.

Anyway, on the ground in SLC and I'll try to get reactions
    tomorrow...

The Aprilia RSV4 doesn't exist yet either. And the Buell 1125R gets to
race in both series? Shurely shome mishtake there.

"The stock gas tank must be used". Shorter races then.

Just a note that you may not know. BSB has no purse for SBK. I rather
think WSB has no purse ether.

Oh, no, American bike, you know. The mistake was putting it in dsb,
    this is where it belongs.
Been thinking about that generally, and I think the dsb races may end
up at 100 miles or more, enough to require a pitstop. FLUB races won't
likely be the same. But that would help explain the very thin class
    structure.
The issue here is balance between the two classes. Now there is some
financial incentive for privateers to run in FLUB, which wasn't the
previous plan and shows that NASBike has embraced this class to some
extent, it's not just a poison pill for the factories...

That's what I meant when I wrote if 'Zuki got a bone with the 750, HD
got the fillet with the 1125, but I'd almost bet they'll focus on DSB
instead of Litre. At a dry weight of 375 and making around 125hp/70+tq
right out of the box, that machine says DSB all over it, but now
somebody can hotrod it in the Litre class too.
Actually, I'm a little surprised they have any at all...

The literbike rules state you must use the stock gas tank. Every SBK
worldwide allows larger gas tanks so that the bikes can finish a
reasonably long race. QED, either the literbike races will have to be
shorter, or they'll have to have fuel stops.

Or they'll have to go the distance on stock capacity, of course,
exactly what distance that actually is remains to be seen, but I'd be
surprised if there were pit stops, at least in Litre...
