Well, got both the BM and myself back in one piece. No hassle with the
tax - nobody had noticed that the bike actually had tax until June
2006 and not June 2005. Oh well.

I like riding it, the motorway was despatched with ease, but blimey
isn't this one big bugger. Especially when filtering...

Not that this stopped Mr Arsehole Minibus driver from nearly having me
off on the motorway as he wasn't able to turn his geriartic head far
enough to see that the space he was trying to shove his way into was
    already occupied.

Heh, it takes a while to adjust one's brain to, but you'll get there
pretty quick. Just make sure you have the (8mm?) allen-key handy for
    when you clonk a Transit-sized van's mirror.
    :)
Sir will be wanting one of these, then:

Yep, you'll be flitting through traffic like you were on a C90 before long,
    trust me.

Not with a set of alluminium panniers, trust me on this.

Actually it does have regular panniers on it but an aluminium top
box. Don't ask me why but the PO thought this was a good idea.

Well, at the moment I'm still a wuss - I've put the low seat back on
it tonight and will leave it on until it feel a bit more comfortable
with the lofty seatheight. I can hold it on the normal seat but I'm
not sure that I'd want to commute like that from day one.

Standard panniers and shiny top box are just not going to make a serious
statement, you need to get rid of the top box ASAP.

Hmm, come to think of it I could do with a top box for our Autumn
Nordic tour (it will hold loads of beer)

    LOL... excellent.

Did the docs come through in time, anyway?
One thing I have noticed tonight, is cars making progress tend to stop
making quite as much progress when you reel them in, on the Pan.

    Can't think why... :-D

[1] There are two undrunk barrels of Harveys *settling* in my warehouse
    as we speak.

Ahem. Can I claim my Harveys clause here. The "No..." bit was meant to
    be one paragraph below.
