    .... then dies agan.

Yup, the NS4/500 will *not* be appearing at the BOSM as, when it was started
for the first time yesterday it did, indeed, sound wonderful [1] and it did,
indeed, have a lovely crisp throttle response and all was hunky-dory.

Untl it had been running for about 30 seconds when all 3 cylinder heads
    started weeping coolant.......

SO the engine had to be dropped and the heads removed to find that they are
not quite as perfectly machined as hoped. They are now sorted. But one
ofthe o-rings used to seal the combustion chamber was damaged in the
removals process so it can't be put back together in time for tomorrow as
they don't have any spare o-rings (TZ350, I think it is...)

And the triumph is still sitting around waiting for a new clutch.

So if the weather is reasonable I'll be on Kate's R6. If it's not so
reasonable I'll be in the Alfa....

    :(

[1] Allegedly. I wasn't there, but when it was described to me the big grin
the fella had makes me think it's a bit tasty (for a two stroke)

Bugger. 30 seconds running is a little short. :) How many feet do you
think it could have covered in that time?
    It was so nearly there.
You're not having a good time with bikes are you.
Hmm.. I hope that the weather holds.

Once it's run in, or before? 'Cos I'm hoping for a speed differentialof
around 80-100mph, and 30 seconds at an extra 80mph is a darn sightfurther...
But not as far as Hulland Ward. I will have a few photos with me tomorrow
(on the phone) to bore folk with though...

Just don't even ask about houses then... Actually, if you're an insomniac
*do* ask me about the fun with Chateau Wavy and the French-born Spaniard who
is installing central heating that is a special order from Italy.... Or the
need to replace *all* the downstairs floorboards and joists....
It is a dilemma - 'cos if it rains or snows, the R6 may be the sensible
choice... :) At least it won't rust too much in the damp.
