Strap it to the back of the blingmobile as a 'spare' incase it breaks down. -- Mike SV650 UKRMMA#22 Skype: muddycat
Err, actually 3 non runners currently. But it's not all gloomy, - I've got 3 with V5's now. 'The red one' - Good mechanicals, good chrome, awful dulux paintwork, seat fecked. 'The silver one' - Tired mechanicals, chrome a bit scabby in places, 'good' paintwork & tank, needs forks, swingarm replace. 'the black one' - Stored in a garden for years, so engine/carbs probably fecked. Tank has been open to the elements for some time, so probably rusty inside. Long term will swap body/tank with the red one. The silver one looks to have the best chance of living again first, as it was ridden to the end of 2002, but it's a close run thing between that and the red one .. The permutations are endless .. Cheers Paul.
Gotta be able to hold my head high [1] in the HOC tent ;-) Well, since i've never actually ridden one, it was a bit of a leap of faith It'll just be like TOG's 400/4, no ? Cheers Paul. [1] Or low as the case may be...
Cheeky ****. If I'm still in this job at that point, it won't be a problem. Trouble with the last one was that it was two weeks after I had to start out here.
Mildly cold at this time of year about 15C in Auckland. A bit chillier in Wellington where the Lions were playing this evening. Gone anywhere on the GS? I sold it before I left. I'm sad to say the only two-wheeled thing I ride at the moment has a chain drive, 18 gears, but no engine. The only consolation is that if I did still have the GS it wouldn't get much use as I live a short walk / cycle from the office and I use one of the firm's pool cars when I go out on business. The commuting and business usage accounted for about 80% of the GS's mileage. About another 10% consisted of continental jaunts such as Tog tours, Frankfurt and visiting friends in Europe. You can't get a car ferry from New Zealand to anywhere (except between the two islands). Having said that, NZ does have some good biking roads so a new bike is on the agenda but I can see I am going to turn into one of those people who does a ridiculously small annual mileage. We shall see.
And a good victory apparently. I managed to see the first 30 mins before needing to leave for work. [snip] *waves*
Winter and it's warmer than here :'-( Ah, I thought you'd shipped it over there. I was under the impression it had lots of good roads - but really I know nothing Suspect once you get back on the bike you'll come up with some nice circuits that you'll end up doing. Big enjoyment doesn't require big mileage does it?
