Does anyone here know how the law stands on these internal 'inserts' on the
helmets [for graphics] as in the link?
    http://www.designair.net/motorcycle.htm

What can they write/punish you for if you would have this 'installed' [1]

    Cheers!

[1] I suppose they will be real strict on this, considering they dont even
    want to allow tinted visors!?

Well, if you carry around a non-tinted visor, or the insert is easily
removable, they can't *really* do you for it. The main thing with tinted
visors is the fact that people will still ride in poor lighting conditions
with them fitted as they have no option if they have only one visor - this
is why those with the slide down inserts are fine.

I think one or two people on here have been stopped and quizzed by police
about thier visors, only to show that they carry a clear replacement.

Of course, it could be a different case with the very dark tinted visors.

Gotta be better than those holographic lion's heads et al.

Not illegal per se although you could possibly be prosecuted for
having one at night if it can be shown your vision is reduced to an
unsatisfactory level. As for taste - I`ve got a rather fetching set of
green lizard eyes on my arai - purely for scaring small children!
