If anybody in NSW has been booked for any offence by Constable Michael Lee
from the Ashfield hwy patrol I recomend you constest the fine or charge.

I was all set for a legal battle with lawyer in newtown court, he didn;t
show up and has left the police force and looks like his superiors will not
    contest his charges!

I was riding down old canterberry road doing 32K in a 40K school zone and
this short fat cop was hiding behind a bush next to an un marked police car
targeting me, so I gave him the bird.

about 1k down the road hes behind me in an unmarked cop car and pulls me
over for a chat, at this point I failed the personality test.

I was charged with Neg driving, charge sheet reads "took left hand from
handelbar and extened middle finger at police"

Re reading this posting, I really was asking for it.

Interesting that you said that. Cause the cop is out of the force because he
    went "postal".

So you were arrested, conveyed to a police station and charged? Or were you issued with an
    infringement notice or summonsed?

So in the end it cost you a grand total of $800 for giving plod the bird eh? Hahahahaha, only goes
to prove you don't need a long neck to be a goose...!!!

Ah yeah the middle finger - next you'll be stalking - good thing he
stopped you sooner rather than later. :)

  14. "Gave him the bird?" Have you been watching too much Seinfeld, or are you a
    Seppo?
I'd have thought a more appropriate charge would've been "failed to maintain
complete control of a motor vehicle."

Why did you not simply respond to the charge stating that you were
required to remove your hand in the normal operation of your motorcycle
in order to switch to reserve, which you are accustomed to doing using a
single finger as it is quicker and easier due to the bulk of your riding
gloves. It was unfortunate that you were doing this as you passed an
officer who mistook your legitimate and legal action as an offensive
    gesture. :)
