The trouble with being "under the weather" takes many forms .. You just
don't get out so much.. One tends to suffer from "cabin fever".. That's not
so bad until you consider that, you just don't feel worth a damn, and
probably wouldn't be up to activities, that you'd normally be active with..

Saturday was such a lovely day, that I finally got around to uncovering the
Vulcan to be sure that this little ordeal was not having too much of a bad
affect on it.. The sun was shining and bright.. The air was balmy and in the
eighties.. What a great day to just take a little run around the metro and
touch base.. Phew.. didn't feel up to it.. so .. I pulled up a lawn chair
and just sat there.. I noticed things that I'd normally overlook.. The
chrome wasn't gleaming and as bright as usual.. There were smears on the
paint that would not be noticeable.. That Vulcan is depressed. (like me) ..
We are sitting here on this patio in a thoroughly "down" mental state..

For more than three weeks, the Vulcan and I, have been virtually confined..
with exception of a couple of short little jaunts in the area, we've been
"parked"..Primary covers need to be re-chromed.. Paint touchup should be
carefully matched.. The list goes on.. Valves.. bearings, etc. etc..

After sitting there for a couple of hours, just looking.. I decided to
"crank 'er up" and at least circulate the motor oil.. Damn.. this thing is
running rough, or so it seems..Now.. for sure.. I am more depressed..I think
I'll just cover this thing back up and get on the newsgroup to see what is
    going on..

Who knows.. I might even just see if I can put some of these thoughts on
tx.motorcycles.. Everyone have a good one..

Huh....I can definitely relate, bud. When I was laid up I had a
serious case of cabin fever. Even after I was up and about a bit, I
didn't feel safe enough to ride so the 'Priller just sat there. :-(
I did a little riding today. Not much. I was kind of squeamish about
getting caught in another downpour while out and about so I didn't get
too far from the homestead. Wasn't too bad, though. Nice and cool.

Hope you are feeling up to riding again, soon.

  5. Brian, I'm facing surgery, colon surgery.
Your father said he had colons polyps one time. But don't think he said
he had to have surgery, they did it in the office, or something.

My doctor suspected that I had polyups in my colon.. He scheduled me for a
colonoscopy (sp).. Sure enough, when they put me to sleep and performed the
procedure, they confirmed the problem.. The removal of them took place
during the one procedure.. When I woke up, they were gone and I've not had a
    problem with them since..

He's probably suffering from post traumatic poll syndrome....... the
presidential race is too close to call right now and it's taking it's
toll on the poor guy. ;-)
