The great tapa debate.

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Carmichael, Jun 2, 2007.

  1. Ok. I give in. I ventured away from the dusty, hick-inhabited back of
beyond where I live, to spend a couple of days in Seville (1.5 hrs from
    here).

And yes, they were charging up to 2 euros for a tapa.

And up to 7 euros for a *media* ración.

Ah well, that's civilisation for you.

  2. Didn't try a tapa, but had a media ración between 2 of us (pinchito de
pollo) at a cost of 6.20 which, yes, was fine.

Just now got back from a local bar where I had a small beer and a tapa
of caballa (mackerel) which cost me 1 euro.

Oh, and over the road is a brit restaurant where I had 1.5 litres of
Ruddles County for the princely sum of 4.5 euros.

Oh, and in between I managed to squeeze in a "tubo" of Estrella Damm
(that'll please Domènec as it's catalana) for 1 euro and on the way home
from there popped into a spit & sawdust bar for a tubo of Cruzcampo
where I turned down the tapa ´cause I was full. Another euro wrenched
    from my hands.

About to "quality test" the Mahou from my fridge. Fuckit, I'll have a
    swim first.

    Hasta luego amigos...
