The Great NSW Greenslip Ripoff

Interestingly QBE got both of my last 2 - they were cheaper by $10 for
me (but GIO were next)

Can you really blame the insurance companies for charging a laziness
premium on renewal ? Let's face it - how hard is it to go the greenslip
website and punch in your data to find the cheapest quote ? It's not
like it's a hidden secret - the MAA and RTA give you about a dozen
head's up's that it's there when they send you the paperwork - it's all
over the place. Anyone who can't be arsed to price compare deserves to
be charged an extra couple of hundred

Much as I hate beetlebrows, I think you'll find that greenslips are a
NSW state government managed debacle. Which, as I'm sure you're aware,
is governed by a gobshite called Iemma - a moron called Scully is
primarily responsible for most of the current messes we have in the
transport portfolio although his successor (Watkins) is doing a very
ordinary job of sorting them out he has actually fixed a couple of the
more egregious cock ups.

My car one went up by something like $45 this year.

The bike was registered before the "levy" came due, but an online quote
gives me a quote of $480 at the cheapest insurer - the one I'm using now
- compared to $436 last year.

Pretty clear evidence of a marked increase - and that this "small increase"
touted in all the advertising is anything but.

Small sample size, anicdotal evidence etc - but as far as I'm concerned
we're being ripped off - again.

got mine at QBE as suggested , QBE is available through bike shops
so was easy to get for $80

this no doubt will go up due to the 4wd debacle and prob the surge in small
scoot sales
