Good idea. Hadn't thought of the GT650R. For <$10k you'd be silly not
    to at least try one.

    Ahh; thanks!
I saw an episode of The Car Show where a feller is making "replica" Porsche
Spyders using Subaru WRX (and lower-spec) platforms. They're cute but
    sort-of missing the point!

Darwin, and negotiable around the $7k mark...
Basically standard, Yamaha touring screen, ventura rack and bag, Gearsack
throwover panniers, seat bag and tank bag. 28k on the clock, seriously
underused in the last year, not currently rego'd but can be easily. 3
    helmets.

A bit like the varioius companies that for a while were making body kits for Nissan 260z's to make them look like Ferraris

I still wouldn't mind a Purvis Eureka though (for fair weather though.....those roof/door mechanisms suck when it's raining.)

I think the bloke at the BP garage in Bungendore has one of them (at
least, I've seen one parked outside often enough).

In June, there was one for sale outside a house in Stratford.

That's the NSW Stratford on Avon, not the Victorian Stratford on Avon or
    the Queensland Stratford on Avon.

Nah, I'll be riding one of my vast stable of
picked-up-on-hard-rubbish-day bicycles through the next Canberra
winter. The one I'm currently riding to work is a "Batavus" (no, I'd
never heard of it either) 10-speed racing bike that for some reason has
a bottle opener welded to one side of the forks...

I'm astounded that you were unable to work a booth joke into your
    reply!

  19. What, so you think anybody _here_ besides Postman Pat, Knobdoodle, and
me finds booth jokes quite so hilarious?

    ;-)

Tim wants my 900 Hornet,he does...

Postman Pat (Looking at 650 VStroms again--although an FZ1 _does_ sound
    nice...)
