Are any of you guys familiar with a campground, I think it is, on Gap Road or
somewhere near the track at PI?

I'm buggered if I can find any online links to it, nor can I find any listing in
the phone book. It doesn't help that I don't exactly know what I'm looking for.

Apparently it has dorm. style sleeping arrangements as well as cabins, provides
onsite catering as well. I am considering this as an option for this year's AGP
now that a mate has sold his holiday house in Cowes.

    Gap Road Accommodation.
This is shared cabin accommodation in beds or bunks.
Cost is $40.00 per head including an early continental breakfast.
The cabins have beds for eight people in two bed rooms.
To book call Tahnee on 03 59522569.
Gap Road Accommodation is on Gap Road only about 1.5 kms from the
circuit but ask Tahnee for directions.

This is edited highlights from an e-mail.
Cost was left in as indication only, since it was a bulk booking
business from U.C. folk doing a PI track day. Real costs <shrug>...ask.

I dunno what the place is like, since I staid at the pub.

    regards,

A guy who owned a pink bike could never be staid. I'm not surprised
that you stayed at the pub though !

(wondering where the inevitable spelling falme spelling error is -
    can't see it !)

All right! One fluoro pink bike, just one!
Actually, it was quite sad, 'cos the Isle of Wight Hotel had signs up
all over it about being redeveloped into a chrome and glass and wankie
type of "resort" kinda place. :-(

    I like old fashioned pubs.

    regards,
CrazyCam (who don't need spelling falmes)

Yep :) Stayed there for a week at the supers bout 4 yrs ago & can
    highly recommend it!!!

Cooked breaky & dinner with live band on the Sat night...Bar etc
Parking for bikes is usually on the tennis court (not sure if it still
is) & the gate is locked at night.
    Easy walk to the track.
